The most engaging activity in the evening for many cruises must be squid fishing. However, please be noted that only when weather permits can this activity be held. Normally, the period from April to around January of the next year is the ideal time for squid fishing. As squid is very small in the early season, let’s visit Halong Bay in the peak season of squid, from August to December, especially from October to November if you want to catch the biggest squid.

When the night falls, after having an incredibly delectable dinner onboard, travelers who are interested in being engaged in squid fishing will be provided fishing gears such as: racquets and fishing rods. If you are lucky or you have experience in fishing squids, you can even catch 15 – 20 squids per night. Are you confident with your luck or your fishing skills?
